Cilantro / New Cloth old Garment

Planting Info

Cilantro prefers cool temperatures. Plant in early spring after the last frost or in the fall for a winter harvest. Avoid planting in the heat of summer, as it will likely bolt (go to seed prematurely).
Sunlight: Choose a location with full sun (6+ hours). However, in hotter climates, afternoon shade can be beneficial.

Soil: Cilantro needs well-draining soil rich in organic matter. Amend your soil with compost or other organic matter.

Seed Depth and Spacing: Sow seeds 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep and 1 to 2 inches apart.

Succession Planting: For a continuous harvest, sow seeds every 2-3 weeks

Direct Sowing: Cilantro is best grown from seeds directly sown in the garden, as it doesn’t transplant well.
