Matthew 13:44 44“Again, the reign of the heavens is like
treasure hidden in a field, which a man
having found it, hid, and for joy over it, he
goes and sells all that he has and buys that
field.

This Parable emphasizes the value of the Reign of the Heavens. It is worth more than all of your possessions. The man finds the treasure and sells EVERYTHING he owns to obtain the field the treasure is in.  Though the treasure is worth more than his possessions, the amount to acquire the field is simply everything he owns. Once he sells everything he owns, he then acquires the field where even more than what he had is in.

Not everyone can see the treasure; not everyone is willing to part with their possessions in a step of faith to acquire the field. Not everyone even takes the time to look in the field to begin with. The majority of people are completely content with what they have and where they are.

Yeshua said If you want to follow me, you must sell everything you own. The treasure in the field is clearly the Yeshua and the kingdom that is through Him. The ONLY way into that kingdom, the only way into Yeshua and Yeshua in you, is to SELL all that you have. Yeshua is showing us that to enter into the kingdom, you cannot bring in luggage, you can not be like Lot’s wife, who looked back at the desires and lusts of the world that is embodied in Sodom.

How amazing we are given an opportunity to buy a field with a treasure in it even though we could never save up to the amount of the treasure, eternal life, forgiveness of sin, and all that is awaiting us in the Kingdom, and even here and now if He so graciously bestows upon you.

Embrace the Kingdom and find the field that Yeshua awaits you in!
